For the future of agriculture
Taking action today
As Esular, we work to leave a livable world for future generations by protecting water resources with smart farming technologies, ensuring energy efficiency, and supporting sustainable production models.
Our sustainability impact
Positive effects of our technologies on the environment and agriculture
1.2M m³

850 MWh
Annual energy savings. We reduced fossil fuel consumption with our solar-powered products.
50.000+ ha
We achieved productivity increases with smart irrigation systems in agricultural land.
320 ton
Annual CO2 emission reduction. We are constantly lowering our carbon footprint.
Every drop is valuable
Globally, water scarcity has become one of the greatest environmental threats. According to United Nations data, 2/3 of the world's population will experience water stress by 2025. Agricultural irrigation accounts for more than 70% of global freshwater consumption.
In traditional irrigation methods, most of the water is wasted due to evaporation, wind loss, and over-irrigation. While farmers usually act with the 'the more water the better' mentality, over-irrigation actually reduces yield by suffocating plant roots and depletes water resources.
Esular's smart irrigation technologies solve this problem at its root. Our soil moisture sensors detect exactly when and how much water the plant needs by measuring the moisture level at different depths of the soil in real-time. Automatic valve control systems start and stop irrigation automatically based on this data.
As a result, up to 40% less water is used for the same yield. This both lowers the farmer's electricity and water bills and protects scarce water resources for future generations.
Our sustainability strategy
Our sustainability approach built on three core pillars
Water protection
A significant portion of water used in agriculture is wasted due to over-irrigation, evaporation, and leakage. Our smart irrigation technologies ensure that only as much water as needed is used by measuring the soil's actual moisture requirement. In this way, up to 40% water savings are possible with the same yield.
- Soil moisture-based irrigation - Real-time moisture measurement at plant root level
- Drip irrigation optimization - Exactly as much water as each plant needs
- Precipitation sensor integration - Automatic irrigation stop on rainy days
- Pool level management - Efficient use of water storage areas
- Evaporation calculation - Irrigation planning based on weather
Clean energy
Agricultural irrigation consumes intensive energy, especially for pump operation. Thanks to our solar-powered devices and ultra-low power consumption LoRaWAN technology, we reduce fossil fuel dependency, both lowering costs and minimizing carbon emissions.
- Solar-paneled sensors - Independent operation without grid requirement
- 5+ year battery life - Minimum maintenance and waste
- Low power consumption LoRa - 100x less energy than traditional WiFi
- Pump energy optimization - Preventing unnecessary pump operation
- Smart timing - Irrigation at the most efficient hours
Circular economy
Instead of disposable and short-lived products, we produce devices that work smoothly for years, are repairable and upgradeable. With our local production, we reduce transport emissions and provide fast technical support and spare parts supply.
- 10+ year product life - Durable in harsh conditions with IP67 protection
- Modular design - Full replacement unnecessary with faulty part replacement
- Repairable devices - On-site repair support
- Local production - Regional production reducing transport emissions
- Software updates - OTA updates keeping existing hardware up to date

Sustainability projects
Eco-friendly projects we carry out together with our customers
Pistachio orchard project
In a 500-decare pistachio orchard, a combination of drip irrigation and soil moisture sensors was switched from a traditional sprinkler system. The farmer, struggling with drought stress, now saves both water and labor with remote irrigation management.
Smart greenhouse automation
Climate control, irrigation, and fertilization were fully automated in a 10-decare tomato greenhouse. 24/7 monitoring is carried out with temperature, humidity, CO2, and soil sensors. The greenhouse owner now manages the entire system from their phone.
Center pivot irrigation optimization
4 center pivot irrigation systems were switched to remote monitoring and control in a 2000-decare wheat and corn field. Sensors monitor soil moisture, and the system automatically optimizes irrigation.
