Hydrocyclone
In irrigation systems, it is the filter that catches sand particles before they enter the system. Generally used in deep well pump stations and open waters, hydrocyclones are effective in separating stones, gravel, sand, and other particles coming from the pump from the water.

Hydrocyclones, which are used as the primary filter element in filtration systems, can be selected by considering the three main factors mentioned above.
Hydrocyclone Working Principle
Water enters from the upper part of the hydrocyclone toward the wall and descends by rotating along the wall. Then, the water rises from the center upwards, and since sand particles are heavy, they remain at the bottom. Water cleared of sand is delivered to the system through the top of the hydrocyclone. At the highest point of the hydrocyclone outlet, an air release tool (air valve) is placed to discharge air. The sand accumulated at the bottom is cleaned at certain intervals by opening the drainage valve in the reservoir during irrigation, and by opening the reservoir lid when irrigation is not being performed.
