Applications for Oilseed Plants Deficiency Payment Support Have Started

Deficiency payment support is a support payment made to farmers who produce and sell barley, wheat, rye, paddy, grain corn, triticale, oats, dry beans, lentils, chickpeas, safflower, rapeseed (canola), soybean, oil sunflower, grain olive, olive oil, and seed cotton produced using certified seeds from the products determined within the scope of the Turkey Agricultural Basins Production and Support Model. This support payment is carried out in accordance with the Decision on Agricultural Supports to be Made in 2023 and Certified Seed Use Support to be Applied in 2024.

This support model is implemented to encourage the production of the specified products and to provide additional income to farmers. In cases where products are produced with certified seeds and grown in accordance with certain standards, the determined support payments are made to the farmers. These support payments are an important tool for increasing the income level of farmers and encouraging agricultural production. The amount and conditions of the payments are re-determined every year and presented to the farmers according to the relevant legislation.
