What is an Ambient Humidity Temperature Sensor?

Outdoor humidity and temperature sensors are devices used to monitor weather conditions and collect environmental data. These sensors are used in a wide range of fields, from meteorological stations to agricultural applications, smart city systems to industrial control processes, by precisely measuring temperature and humidity levels in open areas.

These sensors are specifically designed to be resistant to outdoor conditions. Thanks to their structures protected against water, dust, temperature changes, and other harsh weather conditions, they offer long-lasting and reliable measurements.

How is an Ambient Humidity Temperature Sensor Used?

Ambient humidity and temperature sensors are important devices that measure environmental data instantaneously and transmit it to monitoring and control systems. This sensor, which we use in climate stations, performs remote measurements thanks to its wireless connection feature and sends data to our application in real-time. Thus, we can track temperature and humidity changes instantaneously and take necessary precautions by receiving notifications when determined threshold values are exceeded.

Thanks to the system we have established, we can monitor not only humidity and temperature data but also the data of all other sensors (light, wind speed, precipitation amount, etc.) through a single platform.

Sensors are designed to be resistant to harsh outdoor conditions and protected against water, dust, and extreme temperature changes. Its installation is quite simple; after being placed in the designated area, data transmission is provided over a wireless connection. When the data coming from the sensors reaches the determined threshold values, the system can give warnings and send instantaneous notifications to the user.

ETO (Reference Evapotranspiration) Calculation for Effective Irrigation

Data such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, and solar radiation provided by these sensors are used in the calculation of ETO (Reference Evapotranspiration), which is of great importance in agricultural irrigation management. ETO is an indicator used to determine the amount of water a plant needs.

With ETO calculation:

  • The actual water needs of plants are determined.

  • Excessive or insufficient irrigation is prevented.

  • Sustainable agriculture is supported by providing water savings.

  • Product productivity and quality are increased.

You can optimize irrigation planning by performing automatic ETO calculation with the data received from sensors through our application.
