Soil Moisture Sensor, Wireless Battery-Powered Soil Moisture Measurement

The soil moisture sensor measures soil moisture capacitively or resistively. It performs these operations with an internal battery. Measured moisture values are transmitted wirelessly to the server. No external energy or wiring is required for soil moisture measurement.

General Features:

1. There are sensors for measuring soil moisture, ambient humidity, and temperature.
2. It can send data at certain intervals, once every 5 minutes with the internal battery, and continuously with an external source or solar panel.
3. It has a 12-24V 250mA external power supply input.
4. It takes a reading once every 5 minutes and transmits the information to the center.
5. No data loss occurs in case of it being turned off and on.
6. The device has EU-868 MHz frequency band and 14db output power with Lora modulation and LoraWan protocol.
7. It has an external antenna connection.
8. Configuration processes can be done through the system.
9. Energy status, operating status, and alarm status can be monitored via the LEDs on it.
10. The device works in Ultra Low Power mode when not sending data and does not consume unnecessary energy.

Multi-level Measurement

The multi-level approach in soil moisture measurement allows us to evaluate moisture levels in various layers of the soil separately, considering the fact that plant roots receive water and nutrients from different depths. For example, by measuring moisture values at different depths such as 30 cm, 60 cm, and 90 cm, we can understand how drought on the surface differs from the moisture status in the lower layers. This multi-level measurement allows us to record not only moisture levels but also temperature values at these depths. In this way, by mapping the moisture and temperature distribution in different regions where plant roots are located more comprehensively, we can optimize our irrigation strategies more consciously and manage plant health more effectively.
