The “Communiqué on Supporting Individual Irrigation and Smart Irrigation Systems within the Scope of Rural Development Supports,” has been published in the Official Gazette and entered into force by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This communiqué determines the procedures and principles regarding the support of individual and smart irrigation systems. With the amendment made, the project upper limit for grants in individual and smart irrigation systems has been increased to 3 million lira.
Applications for the grant program valid for this year started as of January 9 and will be received for 45 days in accordance with the implementation guide. The aim of the regulation is to expand the use of modern pressurized and smart irrigation systems that ensure the efficient use of water in agriculture by producers; to ensure production that is of higher quality and suitable for market demands, and to support individual smart irrigation systems to raise the income level of producers in rural areas.
Grant Subjects and Implementation Provinces
The Program is implemented in all provinces within the scope of investment subjects. Investment subjects:
Establishment of in-field drip irrigation systems.
Establishment of in-field sprinkler irrigation systems.
Establishment of in-field micro-sprinkler irrigation systems.
Establishment of in-field subsurface drip irrigation systems.
Establishment of Linear or Center Pivot irrigation systems.
Establishment of drum irrigation systems.
Establishment of solar-powered irrigation systems.
Solar energy systems for agricultural irrigation purposes.
Smart irrigation systems.
Application Conditions
If you have modern irrigation systems, now is the perfect time to further develop these systems and switch to smart irrigation systems! The grant support offered for switching to smartened and remotely manageable irrigation systems makes your investments more attractive. In this context, the grant support of up to 50% provided for smart irrigation system investments is valid up to the upper limit of 3 million TL. With this opportunity, you can carry your agriculture to a more efficient, sustainable, and technological level.
Application Conditions:
For smart irrigation system support applications, the land size where the system will operate (the projected parcel area) within the parcel to be applied for must be 100 da. and above. In cases where applications are made for more than one parcel, adjacent parcels should be evaluated as a single parcel, and in cases where applications are made for independent parcels, the 100-decare requirement must be evaluated separately for each parcel. The water source documented for the project must be sufficient for the size of the land where the system will operate.
