Cottonseed meal is a feed raw material obtained as a result of the process of separating the fibers of the cotton plant. It is the outer part of the cotton seed remaining after being separated from the cotton plant's fibers. This outer part is obtained by separating the boll from the seed and pressing it during the processing of the cotton seed. This part remaining after the oil is extracted from the cotton seed is called cottonseed meal.
Cottonseed meal has high protein, fat, and vitamin content. Due to these features, it is widely used in the nutrition of cattle and small ruminants. Cottonseed meal, which is easy to digest, has an effect that increases the meat and milk yield of animals.
