What is GGBS
What is GGBS, it is a web-based registration and control system developed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for food safety purposes. All inspections and tests conducted by the Ministry are recorded through this system. Additionally, import information made to the system is also recorded. The Food Safety Information System system has been in use since 2011.
DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOOD AND CONTROL is a web-based software prepared within the scope of the “Technical Assistance for the Restructuring and Strengthening of the Food Safety System in Turkey” project. In GGBS; records of companies, enterprises, inspections, analysis results, export and import information are kept.
On the portal prepared by the DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOOD AND CONTROL, you can perform queries and log in with the product notification number, person responsible for pre-notification, importer information, and product information.

What is the Food Safety Information System?
GGBS, Food Safety Information System (GGBS), is a data recording system that operates in an internet environment.
GGBS is designed to help ensure food/feed safety and control and to ensure that citizens reach safe food. It has been used since 2011 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry through its central and provincial organizations and authorized private laboratories.
All food and feed enterprises across the country, inspections conducted on these enterprises, samples taken, analysis results of samples, administrative sanctions applied to enterprises, import and export records, etc. many data are entered into the system by control officers and recorded in a central structure in GGBS, compiled, and reported according to need.
