400 Decare Bursa Botanic Park Smart Irrigation Project

We are very pleased with the technological contribution we have provided in the digital transformation of Bursa Botanic Park. With our central communication stations, we perform remote smart landscape irrigation in a 400-decare area with our 222 valve control units, during both night irrigation and day irrigation. With our user-friendly application, we perform 24/7 remote irrigation monitoring, control, and furthermore, end-to-end management. With our 222 soil moisture sensors, we perform irrigation forecasting and precision irrigation according to the needs of the park. We perform automatic pool filling. We prevent loss, leakage, and malfunction processes with actions such as automatically stopping the system and sending notifications to the user in cases of loss, leakage, and malfunctions.

Botanic park's problems before Esular:

  • Manual Control Difficulty: It was difficult and time-consuming to manually control 222 valve control units, 3 well boosters, and 2 pump stations in a large area spread over 400 decares.

  • Night and Day Irrigation: While night irrigation was almost impossible and difficult, day irrigation had to be started in the early hours because it had to be done in an open area. This required constant worker assignment.

  • Water Loss and Leakage Control: Water leaks that could not be seen or noticed by eye led to excessive water consumption.

  • Electricity Expenditure: Due to irregular irrigation, excessive energy was spent, which caused high costs.

  • Pool Level and Automatic Filling: Manually controlling the fullness rate of large and small pools separately in two regions and filling them according to the level rate was a difficult and tiring process.

  • Soil Water Requirement: Not being able to calculate the soil's water requirement caused excessive water consumption and high energy costs.

How Did We Solve the Problems?

  1. Manual Control Difficulty: By installing Esular smart systems on 222 valve control units, 3 well boosters, and 2 pump stations, remote control and monitoring have been made possible.

  2. Night and Day Irrigation: With Esular solutions, 24/7 remote monitoring, control, and end-to-end management possibilities have been provided for night and day irrigation through our user-friendly application.

  3. Water Loss and Leakage Control: By installing pulse-output water meters at each well and pump outlet, 24/7 loss and leakage control has been made possible through the Esular application.

  4. Electricity Expenditure: By installing energy analyzers at all well and pump stations, monthly consumption costs have become calculable through our application, and thus costs have been reduced with regular irrigation.

  5. Pool Level and Automatic Filling: The fullness rates of large and small pools located in two regions have been made monitorable 24/7 via the mobile application with level sensors, and thus automatic filling tasks according to the level rate have been commissioned.

  6. Soil Water Requirement: By installing 222 soil moisture sensors in the field, the water requirement of each region was calculated separately, and water and energy savings were achieved by preventing unnecessary irrigation.
