Supporting Individual Irrigation Systems within the Scope of Rural Development Supports

What are the Supported Areas and Support Elements?

Valid for the years 2021-2025, it is aimed to support individual irrigation systems of producers in rural areas. It is aimed to popularize the use of modern pressurized individual irrigation machinery and equipment developed for agricultural activities by producers. Investments in the following subjects are supported:

  • Installation of in-field drip irrigation system,
  • Installation of in-field sprinkler irrigation system,
  • Installation of in-field micro-sprinkler irrigation system,
  • Installation of in-field subsurface drip irrigation system,
  • Installation of linear or center pivot irrigation system,
  • Installation of drum irrigation system,
  • Installation of solar-powered irrigation system,
  • Solar energy systems for agricultural irrigation purposes,
  • Smart irrigation systems.

Who Can Benefit?

Real persons, agricultural companies, irrigation cooperatives, agricultural development cooperatives registered in the farmer registration system can benefit.

What is the Grant Support Amount and Rate?

In accepted applications, support is provided through a grant for 50% of the grant-eligible goods purchase amount determined in the grant contract, excluding VAT. The grant-eligible goods purchase amount cannot exceed 1,000,000 TL for real persons and legal entities. If the goods purchase prices exceed this amount, the exceeding part is covered by the investor as a contribution in kind. The grant-eligible goods purchase amount determined in the grant contract is an upper limit. The final amount of the grant emerges as a result of actual realizations.

Expenses for which grant support will not be provided are as follows:

  • All kinds of debt payments,
  • Interests,
  • Expenditures and expenses financed from another public source,
  • Exchange rate difference expenses,
  • Machinery and equipment rental fees,
  • Transportation expenses,
  • Banking expenses,
  • Audit expenses,
  • All taxes refunded or to be refunded, including VAT and SCT,
  • Second-hand/used goods purchase expenses,
  • Training expenses,
  • Purchase expenses of individual irrigation system components with a production date older than the last 2 years,
  • Expenses that are not invoiced and are invoiced before the application date or after the completion date of the goods purchase specified in the contract,
  • Purchasing expenses with missing documents among the Technical Documents to be Obtained from Suppliers by Investors specified in the Current Implementation Guide,
  • Individual irrigation system expenses that are not installed in the field and/or are delivered incompletely.
  • In goods purchases for individual irrigation systems, construction of water intake structures such as weirs, opening of new wells, energy transmission lines, construction works such as storage facilities, and construction of only transmission lines from the water source to the irrigation area are outside the scope of grant support.

  3. Pressurized Irrigation System Information Form
  4. Current Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) document belonging to the applicant
  5. Technical Specification
  6. Photocopy of Identity Card
  7. Authorized Board Decision
  8. Signature circulars
  9. If any; certificate stating that they are a young farmer/ good agricultural practitioner/ organic farming entrepreneur/ document stating that they are a relative of a martyr or veteran
  10. Soil physical analysis report
  11. Irrigation water analysis report
  12. Water source usage permit/ allocation document or groundwater usage document
  13. Letter of consent (for shared land applications)
  14. Trade registry gazette
  15. Undertakings to be given in the application
  16. Certified copy of the official document regarding land allocation (for applications with allocated land ownership.)
  17. Lease document (for applications to be made by leasing land.)
  18. Certified copy of diploma (diploma belonging to the authorized agricultural engineer who prepared the irrigation project and registration document to the chamber of agricultural engineers)
  19. For projects prepared by firms or institutions, a document regarding that the authorized person who prepared the project works within the organization (insurance registry no)
  20. Criminal record

When is the Application Period?

(Between 2023-2025) Applications are made between January 1st and February 28th to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry General Directorate of Livestock, and Provincial Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry.
